We’re currently making a few updates to our shows. Due to increased demand, we now have a wait list and some of our requirements have changed. Please carefully review the updates below and let us know if they work for your school or organization.

School Performance Requirements & Guidelines


1. Space & Setup Requirements

Performance Area: Minimum 10x20 ft (gym, cafeteria, auditorium, or large classroom).

Clear Area: Space must be cleared of desks/tables before setup.

Access: Ability to load in equipment through closest entrance.

Electrical Outlet: At least 1 available outlets near performance area.

Temperature Control: Space should not be excessively hot/cold for performers or kids.


2. Audience Requirements

Show is intended for children ages 3-6

Age Group Separation (Recommended):
If possible, split assemblies (PreK with K and 1st grade) for best engagement.

Maximum Number of Students: Cap depends on space. Gym shows can have full school; classrooms should be limited.

Show Minimum is total of 100 children with no maximum limit as long as it doesn't exceed occupancy limit.

Seating Arrangement: Students seated on floor or benches, leaving a clear performance boundary.

Adult Supervision: Teachers/staff must remain with students at all times.


3. Safety Requirements

No running into performance zone—clear safety boundary around equipment.

No touching equipment unless invited (props, instruments, sound gear, costumes).

Emergency Access: Doors and exits must remain unblocked at all times.


4. Tech & Equipment Requirements

Sound System: School can provide PA system if available, or Station 8 brings portable system. 

Mic Needs: 2–4 wireless mics preferred OR school mic output access.

Projector/Screen (optional): If the show involves visuals, school should provide HDMI access.

Power: Outlets must be accessible and working.


5. Time Requirements

Arrival: Station 8 needs atleast 1 hour before show start to set up.

Show Length: Typically 45 min - 1 hour minutes per show unless otherwise requested.

Breakdown: 20–30 minutes after performance.


6. Behavior Expectations

Students should remain seated unless asked to participate.

Teachers should help maintain order so performance flows smoothly.

Respectful participation: Clapping, singing, and dancing


7. Photography & Media

School may record or take photos for internal use only.

Any public posting (social media, website, promotional use) must credit Station 8 and tag @station8tv

No editing or altering of Station 8 material without permission.


8. Payment

Station 8 does not charge schools for fire & life safety education; however, donations or support for materials are welcome but not required.


9. Contact & Communication

School must provide a main point of contact for the day of the event.

Notify Station 8 of any schedule changes at least 24 hours in advance.

Please share any school rules performers must follow (ID check-in, parking restrictions, etc.)
